The truth about Pisco
A few days ago I saw a video about a journalist interviewing Johnny Schuler, who holds a Guinness World Record as the owner of the largest collection of pisco bottles in the world and the greatest knowledge of Pisco.
But in this email I don't want to talk or even doubt that Pisco is Peruvian by any measure, and that the drink that uses the same name in Chile is anything else but less Pisco.
What I want to tell you is how I helped a client in UK find Pisco suppliers.
This client wanted to import and distribute Pisco in bars, hotels and restaurants in London. And then expand its distribution to the rest of Europe. And he did.
Last year, Pisco was exported to 40 countries for $10 million.
My client is part of those imports and was able to get a couple of good suppliers using the Customs data.
I gave him a report on Peruvian exports of pisco (that was about 4 years ago) and he contacted the direct exporters who appeared in that report. I remember that he told me that it was easy for him because the exporters were willing, they even sent him some samples to introduce Pisco at the beginning.
Now, this customer has its Pisco and other beverages distributed in UK and Nordic countries.
If your business is related to food and beverages, I recommend looking for customs information from HS code chapters 02 to 22. There you can find all exports and imports in this segment.
And if you want to get INSTANT ACCESS to that information, my team and I have prepared ready-to-download 2023 import reports and export reports. We have carefully packaged these reports by HS code chapter so that you can have all the shipment records from January to December 2023.

PS: And if your business has no related with food and beverages, I notice you that you can request the report of the HS code chapter that you want. We have data from all of them. Some already published and others in Pre-Order with a special price. See the link above.
