In August 2024, Peru’s imports of printed materials under HS4911 fell by 59% compared to the same month in 2023, totaling $990K. Leading the market, Distribuidora Jardens increased its imports dramatically by 1215% to $423K, capturing 43% of the market share.
Global Healthcare Solutions entered the market as a new player with $53K, holding 5% of the share. Meanwhile, Oriflame Perú saw a slight decline of 7%, with imports reaching $40K (4% share).
Other notable entries include Industrias Roland Print with $39K (4%), and Hisense Group, contributing $30K (3%). @Tiendas Del Mejoramiento Del Hogar (PROMART) showed significant growth of 272% to $23K, while @Tiendas Peruanas (Oechsle) experienced a 7% decline, totaling $21K (2%).
In terms of origin countries, Brazil emerged as the top supplier, with exports to Peru increasing by 1153% to $438K, representing 44% of the market. Despite a 72% decrease, China remained a major supplier with $312K, accounting for 32% of the share.
United States saw a sharp drop of 59%, contributing $58K (6%). Mexico's exports slightly declined to $46K (5%), while Taiwan saw a notable increase of 135% to $20K (2%).

In August 2024, Peru's imports of silk yarn under HS5004 fell by 67% compared to the same month in 2023, amounting to $130K. The sole active importer during this period, MICHELL Y CIA. S.A., imported $130K, reflecting a 65% decrease from the previous year.
Other importers, including Unilene SAC and TAGUMEDICA, completely ceased their imports in August 2024, contributing to the overall decline.
Regarding origins, hashtag#China remained the exclusive supplier, accounting for 100% of Peru’s silk yarn imports, although its shipments dropped by 66% to $130K. In comparison, imports from hashtag#UnitedKingdom, which totaled $13K in August 2023, were entirely absent in August 2024.
